Frequently Asked Questions
If you have a question that isn’t answered here, please don’t hesitate to contact us.
How many passengers can the River Runner take?
We can take up to 12 passengers per trip, made up of individuals or groups.
Do we have to wear a life jacket?
Yes, life jackets must be worn aboard at all times. We have adults and children’s life jackets are provided.
Do I need to declare a health condition?
Yes! If you have a health condition, you should make us aware BEFORE boarding. Your safety is our priority.
Do you allow dogs?
Unfortunately not. For our passengers’ safety, and your dog’s safety, please leave your dog at home.
Can we bring a picnic?
Our River Picnics are for you if you want to bring food with you. You can book a freshly made picnic to order from Shipshape Cafe in Ramsgate Harbour and collect on your way to boarding.
Where do your boat trips leave from?
The River Runner leaves from either Sandwich Quay, or Ramsgate Harbour. We are dependent on tide times so times of trips may vary and may occasionally be limited.
Is there wheelchair access?
Yes! Our boats are especially adapted for easy wheel chair access boarding at Ramsgate Harbour. Aboard there is ample room for up to 4 wheelchair users, plus their supporters/carers. There are stairs to access the pontoon, so we are unable to offer this facility at Sandwich Quay.
Are you fully insured?
Yes, our boat and skipper are fully insured for commercial use. Our Skipper has many years experience of skippering boats at sea.
