What a lovely trip we had today, was amazing seeing all the seals & Lauren & Paul were so friendly & welcoming.

In holiday from Lincolnshire visiting a friend. Did the seal trip. The staff were fantastic, very friendly and happy to answer questions and pointing out wildlife and points of interest along the run.
The boarding platform was well located and easy to find. Life jackets and safety briefing before boarding.
The diversity of wildlife was amazing. The seals are obviously the "main attraction" but there was loads to see.
Passengers were offered binoculars if they needed them which I thought was a lovely touch.
Would definitely book again! -
I booked tickets for my niece and myself as we are both keen photographers.
We were warmly greeted by the staff ( sorry, I forgotten her name) who gave us a safety brief and fitted our life jackets. The tour itself was just under 2 hours so we'll worth the money. The audio guide explained about the history and various landmarks, but the highlight for us both was the wildlife, which there was an abundance of. Then we arrived where the seals were residing. And we were treated to about 30 plus. Such an amazing day. Thank you. -
Lauren and Paul were wonderful hosts and gave a first-class experience. You see a variety of things on the trip, with an interesting audio guide on the journey outwards. The highlight is seeing the seals. We saw around 50! Such beautiful creatures. Binoculars provided were a nice touch. We were so lucky to have beautiful weather too. Can happily recommend this trip.

Went on a river tour here with my friend on her birthday. Staff were friendly and really helpful and the river tour was narrated which gave lots of interesting information about the local area. It was also great to see the seals in their natural habitat. Couldn’t recommend enough 10/10

Parking is close by and the trip was the perfect amount of time.
The seals were Incredible and as a family run business Captain Paul and Lauren were most welcoming.

Amazingly lovely venture run by a lovely couple. The trip down the river although cold, it is November, was informative and interesting.
At the end we saw hundreds of seals. Just hanging out. Beautiful creatures. -

Absolutely fantastic! We saw so much wildlife, Herons, Egrets, Sandpipers, Red Shanks and of course a large colony of seals!!

I surprised my best mate with this in September. And we both had SUCH fun! Soooo glad we went.
Amazing to get that close to the seals, yet from a respectful distance. The 2 hosts are lovely! I had fun waving at boat owners and people on the river banks.
We were blessed with a sunny day too.

Fantastic morning. The seals were amazing, there were so many of them and so close to the boat. We saw loads of birds, including a kingfisher, curlews, herons and egrets, and it was great to hear about the history of the river. We'll definitely be going back to do this tour again!

Had a great time going down the river to see the seals. Also interesting to see some of the industrial remains old and new on the riverbank.

We’ve had a fantastic time with Paul and Lauren on River Runner! They are so friendly and it’s been so great being able to see the seals. We’ve done it in wonderful weather and wet and windy weather and both times were great. The boat is covered so it was always comfortable. It’s a wonderful place to take guests and give ourselves a bit of time to wind down. Highly recommended!

Such a wonderful trip with really warm and welcoming people. Took my mum along as she has always wanted to see a seal in the wild and she absolutely loved being able to get so close to so many of these wonderful animals. Both of my kids thoroughly enjoyed it too, with the eldest being absolutely memorised by the boat and the whole experience. My youngest (who is autistic and normally cannot cope with travelling or sitting still for long periods of time) did not complain once and talked about the boat and the seals all the way home. He was extremely happy about the binoculars that were handed out for passenger use. It is not usual for him to get so much joy out of a day out and I am so grateful that he got to have that experience today. I really recommend this to everyone, you will have the absolute best time.

A spontaneous trip out with my wife to see the seals. The crew were absolutely brilliant from start to finish. They made us feel at ease and very welcome aboard. Nothing was a bother for them as they effortlessly scooped us all up and got the tour underway on time. We managed to see around 50 seals and various bird breeds, including the quick flash of a kingfisher! A great historical commentary was played while floating out towards the location of the seals. I particularly liked the touch of them handing out binoculars for us to all get a little closer. Blankets were on offer if you felt a little cold, and the hosts came and spoke individually to each passenger just to make us all feel included on the trip. A brilliant show guys! This is an absolute must if it is running during your time in the beautiful town of Sandwich. Most enjoyable. Thank you! 👏

Absolutely brilliant! Cannot wait to go again! Lauren & Paul are lovely, the boat is perfect and spacious and the trip itself was a delight. Lauren & Paul are excellent guides, pointing out all the places of interest passed along the way, and the seals themselves were wonderful - a huge number sunning themselves and enjoying the water. You could not ask for more, and our boys even got a chance to steer the boat! Highly recommend, and we will definitely come again. Thank you so much!

A glorious slow ride down the river with a really informative recorded guide. Then a chance to see the seals up close, so amazing!
Then another wonderful return trip with some fun music to keep us all tapping our toes.
I cannot recommend this enough, a wonderful trip, fantastic scenery and seals to top it off! -

A great cruise along the River Stour from Sandwich to a seal colony at the mouth of the river. Very friendly and plenty of seals. Well maintained boat with life jackets compulsory.

I really enjoyed my trip. Watching the seals was an excellent experience. I was even allowed to navigate the boat for quite a long way along the river. The crew was very welcoming. If you are visiting Sandwich you should really make this boat trip. There's lots to see. Make sure you book in advance as ticket options on the day may be limited. Thank you ⚓️

What a superb adventure, a boat trip to see the seals, thoroughly enjoyed by us all. Highly Recommended, Paul & Lauren River Runner were so welcoming, they even put birthday banners & balloons on the boat because i had mentioned this was a treat for my daughters birthday, a personal touch that meant so much. We were told lots of interesting facts & history of the river & surrounding areas we passed along the way & my children both LOVED driving the boat & the seals were awesome! Xx

Easy to book. Comfortable boat with protection from the elements. They do not crowd the boat which is nice. Good quality safety gear provided and they are very safety conscious. Plenty of wild life and the seals basking on the mud.

Booked a River Runner trip for my birthday treat. LOVED it - even with a little rain, we stayed dry when you rushed to put the covers down.
Thanks to Paul the Skipper and his glamorous assistant Lauren - both so welcoming, knowledgeable and friendly. The boat looked fab especially with the birthday banners and balloons 🎈 😍 such a special treat.
It was lovely to see the seals in their natural environment both on the shores and in the water and learn how they are protected as well as learn the history of the river and the area.
It's the little touches that make a BIG difference and you guys have it nailed. Thanks so much and you definitely deserve the 5 stars 🌟 🌟🌟 🌟 🌟 -
