Take a return trip to the Richborough Roman Fort to enjoy a history making day out with so much to see including the reconstructed Claudian gateway.
The trip is 3 hours long, departing from Sandwich Quay. We will have the Sandwich toll bridge swung for us as we travel up river and continue our journey for 20mins, whilst you have the opportunity of taking in all the River history and wildlife. When we arrive there is a 5 min walk through the forest to the Fort which adds to the adventure the Roman way (please ensure you wear suitable footwear as the walk is over uneven terrain).
You will have 2 hours at the Fort, giving you plenty of time to explore the reconstructed Claudian Gateway, museum and so much more. Another 5 min walk back through the Forrest to our River Runner and 20 mins cruise back down to Sandwich Quay.
